Former Dr. (Miss) Lauretta Lawrence Efielokwu and Dr. Uyi Ambrose Emwanta, younger brother to the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation Edo state, Barr. Andrew Adaze Emwanta on Monday solemnised their marriage in holy matrimony at the Christ Embassy, Siluko Road, Benin city amidst fanfare.
The colourful ceremony attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including top government officials, party leaders, Captains of industries, business associates, affluent individuals as well as families/friends and wellwishers, amongst whom were the Commissioner, Andrew Emwanta (Esq), Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Comrade Joses Sede, Hon. Kennedy Osifo of the Edo state Oil and Gas, Oredo Peoples Democratic party leader; Hon. Sunny Ogbebor, former Chief of staff, Edo state government; Hon. Isaiah Osifo, General Manager, Nigerian Observer, Barr. Solomon Imohiosen, Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo state council, led by its chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe amongst others.
The glamorous entry of the couple into the hall of the Petob Glorious Event Center, Irhirhi road, off Airport Road Benin city, venue of the reception witnessed astounding ovation as guests yielded in ecstasy to welcome the new couple.
Speaking, Barr. Andrew Emwanta, elder brother of the groom admonished the groom to always see himself beyond husband and head of the home but as a partner to his wife.
Advising the groom to always demonstrate love to his wife at all times, the Commissioner pointed out that there was no progress without unity of purpose, hence the need for the couple to imbibe the spirit of unity and mutual trust if they must strengthen, sustain and succeed in their marriage.
Former Chief of staff, Edo state government, Hon. Isaiah Osifo congratulated the couple, describing their union as divinely ordained.
Praying that celebration will not cease in their home, Hon. Osifo admonished the couple to always jettison all forms of negative acts that would cause distractions in their marriage.
