Parents of pupils of Airforce Primary School have called on management of the school to establish the secondary arm of the school during the 38th Annual Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony on Wednesday at the school compound.
While making his speech, chairman of the occasion, Mr. Joseph Osunde made appeal on behalf of parents for establishment of the secondary arm of the school to consolidate on the solid foundation the primary school has laid.
“It is on this note that on behalf of the parents, I wish to appeal to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force and the Tactical Air Command for the urgent need to establish the secondary school so that our children can continue here after receiving the quality education in primary school.”
The school annual occasion which features presentation of awards to deserving pupils and staff graduated 37 pupils this year.
The head teacher, Mrs. Roseline Akpofure while congratulating the graduands expressed confidence in them.
According to her, “I am quite convinced that what the graduating pupils have acquired in this school will make them to excel and be the best amongst equals. I must not fail to say that discipline and dedication has continued to be our watchword”
Mrs. Akpofure thanked the school’s stakeholders for giving the pupils best facilities and conducive environment for learning. “Our appreciation goes to Headquarters of Nigerian Air Force, Tactical Air Command (TAC), 107 Maritime Group, parents and teachers for your commitment to the welfare of our future leaders”. She remarked.
The climax of the occasion was the award of prizes to deserving pupils and teachers who have shown outstanding performances.
Graduands Onogboria Deborah emerged as the best pupil in the graduating class while Chukwuma emerged as the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) award for 2020/2021 Testimonial Examination. Mrs. Florence Fatukase emerged as the best teacher of the year.
