#EndSARS Protest: Gunmen Rob Shop Owner Of Cash, Handset, Others In Benin

Gunmen suspected to be acting on the influence of the ongoing #ENDSARS protest currently rocking the country, have invaded a shop at Pastor Road Junction, in Okhun Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The robbery incident according to report  occurred  at about 8:38pm on Monday just as residents were said to have scampered to different locations for safety.
It was learnt that the suspects who robbed the occupants of the shop of cash and other valuable properties worth millions of Naira were said to have shot sporadically into the air to scare the victims.
An eyewitness who gave detailed accounts of what transpired, but refused to disclose her identify for fear of being attacked and possibly killed, said that she was amongst those who were inside the shop when the armed robbers struck.
She said that no sooner than they entered the shop of the eldest sister, her neighbour and Orobosa Esther Amaso, the suspected armed robbers came and started shooting sporadically to scare, possible external attackers and thereafter demanding for their money.
She informed further that when her neighbour, Orobosa Esther Amaso and her elder sister, Orobosa Patience, were curious about their motives.
“The hoodlums immediately pounced on them and started  beaten them as before Orobosa Patience could concur to their vehement order, the robbers  brought out guns and battle Axe and forcefully came into the shop, and the unfortunate aspect of the incidence was that one of the armed robbers known them, a situation which has further endangered the lives of Esther and Patience.
Our source further hinted that “It took the divine intervention of one of the robbers who had compassion on us and told his gang members not to kill us”.
It was on this premise that she appealed to relevant security Agencies to protect them from further attack in order to prevent them from using the #EndSARS protest.
