Delta State Police Command, yesterday paraded no fewer than 103 Suspected criminals, including eight IPOB members for various Crimes in the State.
Parading the Suspects at the police headquarters in Asaba, the Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa said the suspected IPOB members disguise as EndSARS protesters to set ablaze the state High court, government owned Recreation Park at Koka junction and FRSC Office in Asaba
He stated that the police were able to achieve the feat through investigation which led to their arrest in the wake of the EndSARS protests.
The CP gave the names of the IPOB members as, Igwe Tochukwu, 18; Chidera Chukwu, 20; Chukwuebuka Aweke, 20; Chidoke Nwankuo, 20; Obina Ebuka, 20; Nwafor Joshua, 20; Emmanuel Arigon, 22 and Esther Chukwu, 20, the only female among them.
He said tricycle owned by one of them was used to convey used tyres and petrol at scene to razed down the High court and other properties.
According to the CP, “proactive and relative crime preventive mechanism”, were used to arrest those involve in kidnapping, robberies and other criminal cases in the State.
Hafiz Inuwa explained that 27 armed robbery suspects, 25 Suspected cults, 12 kidnapping Suspects, nine arson Suspects, eight rape Suspects and 14 who are unlawfully in possession of firearms were arrested.
The police boss also posited that sophisticated and prohibited firearms and ammunition where recovered from the arrested Suspects, so also vehicles robbed or stolen within and outside the state.
While assuring the residents of their safety, at all times, the CP disclosed that 142 AK47 Rifle 7.62mm Ammunition, 487 Live Cartridges, three Dynamite and six pump actions were recovered.
