The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu visited Lagos for a spot assessment of police formations attacked by hoodlums who hijacked the EndSARS protest.
The visit would also stand as a morale booster to the demoralized personnel as a result of wanton destruction and looting of police stations.
Top on his reason for visiting the city after the EndSARS protest, according to sources is to boost the morale of officers and encourage them to put all that happened behind and move forward.
He may also use the opportunity to unbundle future plans to reposition the police system.
The IGP had ordered the immediate mobilization of all police operational assets and resources to bring an end to the wanton violence, killings, looting, and destruction of public and private property, and reclaim the public space from criminal elements masquerading as protesters in some parts of the country.
