Latest updates to Companies House services

Resuming the strike off process

From 10 September 2020, we’ll resume the process for companies that have applied for voluntary strike off.

From 10 October 2020, we’ll also resume the compulsory strike off process for companies we believe are no longer carrying on business or in operation.

We’re also looking for people who’ve objected to a company strike off to take part in user research sessions for a new online service. If you’re interested in taking part please email

The government, in consultation with industry, has produced guidance to help make sure workplaces are as safe as possible.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has also hosted webinars on working safely during coronavirus.
