The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), LAPO Group, Mr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe has been bestowed with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) ‘Award of Excellence’ for immense contributions to humanitarian, social and healthcare development in Edo State and Nigeria.
The NMA while presenting this award to the recipient during it’s 2020 Annual General Meeting/Scientific Conference which ran with the theme, “Managing infectious diseases in a developing economy; pitfalls and future prospects,” noted that despite not being a medical doctor by calling, like the other awardee, Dr. Otabor Christopher Uyinmwen he was nominated for the award for impacting on human health positively with the opening of the Benin Medical Center (BMC).
Receiving the award on behalf of Ehigiamusoe, Head, Clinical Services, BMC, Dr. Odia Raphael stated that the award was forthright based on the backdrop of accrued public goodwill from public philanthropy as well as the strategic role of the medical facility which runs as a five star hospital, catering to all aspects of medical needs since it’s birthing in Benin on November 1, 2019.
He appreciated the medical body for taking notice of the good works of Ehigiamusoe and his empowerment schemes mostly channeled towards improvement of the living conditions of the less privileged in society.
