London! The Ever Increasingly High Cost Of Driving Within C/ULEZ Zones

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced that from Monday 18 May 2020 the London congestion charge will return covering an extended portion of the week (7 days a week from 7am to 10pm), and from 22 June will increase in price to £15.

Driving in the city of London has never been more enjoyable than during the total lockdown period excluding essential services workers. Those three months saw ease in the heavy vehicular traffic that often adorn the roads within central London.

The mention of central London to most motorists conjures nothing but “charges” in their minds owing to the fact that, to drive within the so-called congestion charge zone and ultra low emissions zones, commonly referred to as ULEZ, attracts increasing penalty charges.

Recently, the mayor of the city Sadiq Khan, announced that from Monday 18 May 2020 the London congestion charge will return covering an extended portion of the week (7 days a week from 7am to 10pm), and from 22 June will increase in price to £15. And this is currently in place.

But a pressure group change.org,  has put out a petition With a statement saying, “The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced that from Monday 18 May 2020 the London congestion charge will return covering an extended portion of the week (7 days a week from 7am to 10pm), and from 22 June will increase in price to £15.”
