Egypt announces when airports will reopen and flights to UK will start again as coronavirus restrictions ease

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises Brits against all but essential international travel

The Egyptian authorities have announced exactly when flights are resuming to the UK as coronavirusrestrictions are eased.

Brits are being urged to check with their airline well in advance of travel on any special requirements for passengers.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel. This advice is being kept under constant review.

Egypt said from next month flights will resume with countries that have reopened their airports.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises Brits: “You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to the airport which could be during curfew hours.

“Egyptian authorities may ask to see your ticket and passport on the journey to the airport.

“If you live in the UK and are currently visiting Egypt, you’re strongly advised to return now by commercial means. Don’t risk getting stranded.
